12 FAVOURITE OUTFITS FROM TAOBAO

Hi guys,

Happy 1st June!

Today marks the start of a new month.

In this post, I will be sharing 12 (even though I promised 10) of my favourite outfits from Taobao!

I am a Shopaholic especially when it comes to apparels.

Shopping via retail is too tiring so online is the way to go!

Frankly speaking, Taobao is my 2nd most used app besides Instagram.

I spent so much time browsing through their listings, looking for new items to purchase.

It's never-ending!

Pros of Taobao:

It's cheaper than blogshops / retail stores

Cons of Taobao:

size turns out different from what's listed
texture and material of the cloth is horrendous (not all the time I promise)hard to communicate to sellers
everything is in Chinese

Someone asked me if I shop on Taobao by reading the Chinese words and to be honest, hardly!

I rely more on the pictures of the listings, the credibility of the seller (look at the reviews) & I will always browse through the picture reviews before deciding whether to purchase the item or not.

I rarely check and measure the measurements and that's why most of the items I bought could not fit, and hence I sell them away on @stylexaffair (please check it out alright!)

Now, let's view 12 of my favourite outfits from Taobao!

1ST OUTFIT

I rarely dare to purchase apparels that are purple but this dress is gorgeous!

It's an impulsive buy but I still choose to keep it.

Pros: I've never seen any blogshops selling this design.

Cons: Material is kinda thin, and the adjustable straps are loose so I have to keep adjusting it when I'm out.

2ND OUTFIT

Love love love this romper so much!

The details of this romper are simply gorgeous & it managed to cover my tummy which is a plus point. You can choose to match it with a white tube inside & it will still look good!

Pros: The material is good! Very thick and you can adjust how tight you want the romper to be.

Cons: I bought Size S but it's getting a little tight at my back area (even though there is a elastic band and zip), straps non-adjustable.

3RD OUTFIT

I finally gathered the courage to purchase this dress and I was amazed that It turned out this good!

Pros: Very stretchable, enhance your figure, can adjustable how much ruffles you want.

Cons: Very body-hugging so if you want to look for a dress that covers your tummy, this is not the one for you.

4TH OUTFIT

Another colour top that you hardly see me wearing but this top is an exception.

Extremely love the material and cutting of it.

Perfect!

Pros: Material is thick & it fits me well.

Cons: Your cleavage would be exposed. Maybe you can try wearing a tube top inside or just give this top a miss if you don't feel comfortable with it.

5TH OUTFIT

Bought this knit dress for my Korea Trip in March 2020 but due to pandemic, I do not get the chance to wear it out yet. This material is so comfortable and soft, think it's sufficient to keep you warm at colder countries above 10 deg!

Pros: Very comfortable and soft, looks good with high leggings and boots.

Cons: Extremely troublesome to wash it because it is so thick

6TH OUTFIT

Old school vibes with this one!

Pros: Really cute!

Cons: Material is kind of sheer so it's better to wear nude undergarments!

7TH OUTFIT

I actually bought the exact same top in white as well!

It's actually a halter top where your entire back is exposed, & it's secured by a ribbon at the back. (double-knot it & it will be fine)

You can match it with either shorts, skirt or jeans & still look good.

Pros: Material is good & you can adjust how tight you want your top to be.

Cons: Your entire back is exposed & you can only wear stick-on bras (unless you don't mind the straps being exposed)

8TH OUTFIT

A rainbow knit top is all you need to stand out from the crowd! (just kidding)

Wearing this top brightens my mood.

I don't know how but it just makes me feel so happy wearing it.

Pros: Very comfortable material & the colour is exact to picture

Cons: Your neck will tend to feel hot/itchy since it is a turtleneck top. Material is quite thick & some of you may find the length too short.

9TH OUTFIT

A few of you asked for the link of this dress when I posted on my IG stories about 1-2 months back.

It's a really cute dress, I love it so much!

Pros: I love the details of the dress, very cooling material & the length is just right. (even though I prefer to pair it with black shorts)

Cons: I'm 153cm so this dress may be way too short for most of you (unless you are as petite as me hahaha)

10TH OUTFIT

Fun fact: I actually cart out 2 exact tops of a different colour (the other one is orange) from 2 different sellers LOL I'm sorry but only this top made it to this list because the other one is meh, still sitting in my closet waiting for me to wear it one day.

Pros: Really cute patterns, material is good as well!

Cons: I can't think of any, really.
